Yes, it is possible. Those who wish to submit documents directly at the Embassy have to schedule an appointment by calling the helpline of the Visa Centre + 7 (495) 276 25 18 (between 09.00 - 16.00, Moscow time, except holidays). Please note that the appointment can be scheduled not earlier than in two weeks before the actual submission of documents.
Visa Section of the Danish Embassy is opened for applicants with the previous appointments from 10:00 till 12:00 hrs on the working days (submission of documents/pass-back of passports) and is located at the following address: Prechistensky Per. 9 (metro Kropotkinskaya).

Is it required to come to the Visa Centre in person to submit documents? |

It is not necessary to come to the Visa Centre in person to submit documents. All documents can be submitted by the applicant’s representative. In this case please enclose the power of attorney from the applicant and the copy of the main page (page with holder’s data) of the representative’s passport with other documents. The power of attorney can be notarized or may be written in free form by the applicant. Please note that the power of attorney should contain the validity period for which it is given.

| Ans |
Yes, it is possible. In this case the submission of the power of attorney from the applicant is not required. Kindly present the copies of documents confirming your close relationship with the applicant (copies of passport page containing the holder’s data, copies of birth certificate, marriage certificate).

What are the photographs requirements for the visa application? |
| Ans |
When submitting your visa application, please present two colored identical photographs, printed at the matt photo paper. The background of photos should be of white or light color. Size – 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm (face of the applicant should occupy the largest part of the photograph and be at least 2.5 cm from the top of the head till the chin). The image on the photographs should correspond to the applicant’s age. Please stick one photo to the application form and fix another one with a clip (face down).
The Embassy kindly asks to observe the above mentioned photographs requirements. Otherwise the Embassy may refuse the processing of your visa application.

Is it required to submit document showing sufficient financial means, if the salary amount is already mentioned in the job reference document? |
| Ans |
Letter from the employer stating the salary amount (as well as in 2 NDFL form) is not the proof of the applicant’s sufficient financial means. If the inviting party doesn’t take the financial responsibility for the applicant’s expenses during his/her stay in Denmark/Iceland, it is required to submit the bank document showing sufficient financial means of the applicant (at least 50 euros for each day of stay in Denmark/Iceland).
Bank documents can be of the following types: 1) bank account reference; 2) currency exchange reference; 3) travel cheques; 4) copy of the bank card with the ATM slip. Kindly note that the bank documents are valid for 1 month from the date of issue.

This question falls within the competence of the Embassy. Visa applications accepted at the Visa Centre are forwarded to the Danish Embassy for processing. In exceptional cases the Embassy can get in touch with an applicant to inform him/her about the result of processing of his/her visa application. Thus, it is required to mention (fill into the application form) the correct telephone number, including the country code and the city code. The Embassy may require additional documents or request the applicant to come to the Embassy for an interview. |

The numbers of entries in requested visa doesn’t influence the visa fee as well as the requirements to the documents. The exception is the invitation letter. In case if a multiple entry visa is required the inviting party should clearly explain the purpose of visit(s) in the invitation letter and the necessary of having a multiple entry visa for an applicant. |

The territories of Greenland and Faroe Islands belong to Denmark but they are the autonomous regions not included (unlike Denmark) into the Schengen area list. That is why having the normal Schengen visa is not sufficient to enter these territories and it is required to have a special visa that is valid to enter these territories. Such visas are issued by the Embassy of Denmark.
Applicants can submit their documents for visa to Greenland or Faroe Islands at one of the Denmark Visa Centres in Russia. Are there urgent visas? |

According to the Visa Facilitation Agreement between the Russian Federation and Denmark (Iceland) this service is available for Russian citizens only. In this case the processing time will take not less than 3 (three) working days (including the day of submission and the day of collection of passport) provided that the complete set of documents answering the Embassy requirements is submitted.
Important Note: As the Embassy has to observe the conditions of the above mentioned Agreement (paragraph about the visa processing time), this service is only available for Russian citizens applying at the Visa Centre in Moscow.
The visa fee for urgent visas is 3000 rubles, the service fee is 1225 rubles.

According to the requirements of the Embassy the application form of a minor should be signed by parent or legal guardian of the minor. The signature should be explained – the name of the parent or legal guardian should be mentioned next to the signature. The Embassy kindly asks to sign the application form twice: at point 37 and at the end of the form. |

Should an authorization letter of a parent be notarized? |
| Ans |
Only if an applicant is the minor and is traveling together with one parent or legal guardian the Embassy requires to submit the notarized authorization letter from another parent or legal guardian giving the permission for the applicant to travel abroad (authorization can be substituted by the following documents: copy of death certificate of mother/father; copy of court decision on depriving the mother/father of parental rights; notice from the police about the unknown location of one of the parents).
According to the Embassy requirements the period of validity of the authorization letter should cover the period for which the visa is needed.
In case if a minor is traveling together with both parents who already have Schengen visas and needs a visa to visit Denmark/Iceland the Embassy requires to submit the copies of parents’ passports (the main page and page with Schengen visa) as well as the documents confirming the joint travel (e.g., confirmation of hotel booking, air tickets booking, etc).

After the decision has been made by the Embassy the passports are returned back to the Visa Centre in the individual sealed envelopes. Only the applicant himself/herself or the applicant’s representative can open the envelope and know about the decision on visa (whether the visa has been granted by the Embassy or not).
If necessary, an applicant can also know the result of the processing of his/her visa application by calling directly to the Visa Section of the Embassy +7 (495) 642 68 01 (between 12:00 - 13:00, Moscow time, except holidays).

Coming in person to the Visa Centre to collect passport is not necessary. Which documents are required to present to collect passport at the Visa Centre? |

To collect his/her passport at the Visa Centre an applicant will need to show the service agreement with the receipt on it and the applicant’s national passport or other ID (driver’s license, etc). If the passport is collected by the applicant’s representative it is required to show the service agreement with the receipt on it, power of attorney from the applicant and the representative’s passport with the copy of the main page.
